Raina Kim is an associate at Park Lawless & Tremonti. She represents automobile manufacturers in consumer litigation, including breach of express and implied warranty cases involving claims arising under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, Magnusson Moss Act, Business and Professions Code §§ 17200 et seq., and alleged fraud.
Raina received her Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television Studies at Dartmouth College, where she graduated cum laude. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School, where she was a research assistant to the Hon. Richard Posner. Raina also earned her Masters in Fine Arts in Film and Video from the California Institute of the Arts.
Prior to practicing consumer litigation defense, Raina litigated a wide range of matters, including breach of contract, employment, entertainment, and general business disputes. Raina has a wide range of experience across fields, including working as a Project Manager to oversee the equipment and materials procurement process for the subway transit expansion project by the LA County Metropolitan Transit Authority, and as a Grant Manager at the California Institute of the Arts where she, among other things, drafted agreements for gifts, prepared grant proposals, and ensured compliance with Institute policy and relevant regulations.
Raina enjoys arts and crafts, gardens, and hanging out with her son and husband.
Raina represents clients in federal and state courts in the State of California in consumer litigation in the automotive industry, including breach of express and implied warranty cases involving claims arising under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, Magnusson Moss Act, Business and Professions Code §§ 17200 et seq., and alleged fraud. She handles all aspects of these cases.
